Introduction of World Internet Conference
Nowadays, the Internet is bringing about an overwhelming transformation that has a profound influence on human society.
While enjoying the economic development and convenient life brought by the Internet, we are facing unprecedented challenges of unbalanced development, increasing threats to cyber security, uneven distribution of critical Internet resources and new risks arising from novel technologies.
To promote the development of Internet to be the global shared resources for human solidarity and economic progress, the first “World Internet Conference” (Wuzhen Summit) jointly organized by the Cyberspace Administration of China and the People's Government of Zhejiang Province, PRC, is to be held in Wuzhen, a town of more than 7,000 years of history of civilization in Zhejiang Province from November 19th to 21st, 2014.
Centering on the theme of "An Interconnected World Shared and Governed by All", leading figures all around the world from governments, international organizations, enterprises, science and technology communities as well as civil societies will discuss and exchange ideas deeply.
Together let us open the new historical chapters in which the development of the Internet contributes to equitable development and improvement of human welfare.
